Billy Molls

Billy Molls

William (Billy) Molls was born in 1977 and was raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. Despite the endless supply of work, his father and grandfathers always found time to take him hunting, fishing and trapping. As Billy grew older he ventured out on this own further and further away from the farm. By the time Billy was 14, he knew that the only place that could satisfy his craving for adventure was Alaska. As soon as he graduated with his class of 34 students from Turtle Lake High School in 1996, Billy headed to guide school in Montana. From this month-long course he headed to Idaho to wrangle, pack and guide for an outfitter in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness for elk, big horn sheep, and mule deer. That winter he wrote, called and emailed every Alaskan outfitter he could find and that spring he headed to the last frontier. Ever since then Billy has been guiding big game hunters in Alaska for brown bear, black bear, grizzly bear, Dall sheep, moose, caribou and wolf. He has guided for, or taken over 300 big game animals from Alaska.

Billy produces “The Modern Day Mountain Man” tv show, voted 2nd favorite show of all shows on The Sportsman Channel by viewers in its first and second season. He has also produced 8 hunting videos, 7 of which have been the top selling hunting DVD on Amazon.com.
